Nintendo dominates completely at Japanese Christmas

The Nintendo Switch dominated completely the week, reaching a full Christmas in the list of best-selling games.

Last week, more than 263 thousand Nintendo Switch consoles were sold (which exceeded 17 million units sold in Japan), which puts it far above the rest.

More than 17 thousand PS5 consoles were sold, more than 10 thousand PS4 consoles and 375 Xbox Series consoles. The new generation consoles continue to face stock problems and this is perceptible in these numbers.

Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! is the Christmas champion in a list of the 10 best-selling games in Japan, composed exclusively by games for the Nintendo console. Konami’s game is close to reach 1000 physical units sold in Japan and was the undisputed leader.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has approached two 4 million, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is increasingly close to 3.4 million and Ring Fit Adventure has already surpassed 2 million units sold.

Christmas has a taste of Nintendo in Japan.
